Call Blocking - Don't Call Me, I'll Call You

Call blocking is an underrated feature that many customers neglect. Since most traditional landline companies and mobile phone providers don't offer the feature, a lot of customers forget it exists. Regardless of how exclusive you are with handing out your digits, phone numbers always seem to find their way into some unwanted contact lists.  The good thing about call blocking is that you can prevent unwanted callers from ever calling you again and you don't have to be rude about it.  Call blocking is the polite way of telling someone - "don't call me, I’ll call you".

Here are a few ways ParkNBlend call blocking keeps unwanted callers at bay:

1. Block numbers in seconds: The days of checking caller ID, referencing the number, then waiting for the phone to stop ringing and go to voicemail is over. I have even seen people pick up and hang up the phone quickly hoping the caller doesn't notice. Now all you need to do is add the number to your blocking list and all calls from telemarketers, exes, robo-dialers, sales people and whoever else you don't want to talk to will get a busy signal every time they call you.  Not only will you never have to speak with them again, but the caller will get the impression that you are extremely popular.

2. No more temptation: We have all been in this scenario before - the phone rings and caller ID displays an anonymous number.  Deep down we know we shouldn't pick up the call, but our curiosity eats us alive.   As you slowly start reaching for the telephone, your conscience tells you it’s a bad idea, but you just can't resist.  Then, before you know it, the voice from the telephone handset is requesting 30 minutes of your time to discuss disability insurance.  After 10 minutes of firing out objectives and shooting down rebuttals, you finally get off the phone.  You tell yourself you'll never make that mistake again, but before you know it, you're back on another call.  If you don't have the will power to reject anonymous calls, then we will do it for you.  Simply enable Anonymous Call Rejection in your member portal and all anonymous callers will receive a busy signal.

3. You can be selective: There are times when I only want to speak with a select group of people. After a long day at work, I can probably count on one hand who I’m interested in talking to. By using the ParkNBlend Contacts feature, I assign the important people in my life to specific contact groups. Once they have been assigned to a VIP group, I forward those calls to my cell phone and let everyone else go to voicemail.

4. It lets you take a night off: Sometimes an untimely or unsolicited call can ruin your night or ruin the moment. If you have a quiet night or a romantic evening planned at home, take advantage of the ParkNBlend Do Not Disturb feature. When you enable Do Not Disturb, all incoming calls go directly to voicemail. Give it a try sometime.  It's a much better solution to taking your phone off the hook and it might help you remember how enjoyable some peace and quiet can be.

Like all ParkNBlend features, call blocking and forwarding can be managed in real-time, from any computer or smart phone.  There is no limit to the number of setting changes you can make in a month, so log in and get comfortable with the features.  And always remember to use your new found powers responsibly.
